Our Story

Court Dates and Parasols...

On January 31, 2015, I (Alicia) signed up for an account on Christianmingle.com at the urging of my friend (thank you, Katey!). After 30 minutes, I decided there was no one that captured my interest and was going to close my account. Then I came across a picture of Daniel. He was so handsome and his love for God, his church and his family seemed so genuine. I felt this rush of hope and knew I just had to get to know him, so I sent him a little smile.

Daniel always likes to add "...and I've been chasing you ever since." (Which is true!)

After chatting back and forth for a couple of weeks, Daniel informed me that he would like to speak to my Dad and ask him for permission to court me.

"Court" me??,
So I asked him if I had to carry a parasol and say things like "Why I do declare..."?

On February 12, Daniel showed up at my parent's house in a suit and tie and did exactly that. And even though my Dad thought Daniel must be weird and old-fashioned, thankfully he agreed to let Daniel court me (PHEW!).

But to tell you our story is to tell of Him:

We started off as two completely incompatible, broken people and God has patiently and mercifully worked in our hearts to bring us closer to each other by bringing us closer to Him. Every day we are given a new opportunity to surrender our lives to Christ and watch Him bless us exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think.
